About/Bio

I was born and grew up in Bratislava, Slovakia. Since early childhood I enjoyed drawing and observing nature. In primary school I took drawing and painting lessons. Later I studied Architecture. I also completed Interior design course. I worked as an architect and interior designer for about 15 years. After studies I moved to Birmingham, UK, and worked there as an architect for several years. While being there, I also took a jewellery course. Later, back in Slovakia, I also completed courses in traditional Slovak arts and crafts – wire jewellery and objects and also pottery. All these experiences influenced my art in terms of subjects, way of working and creating art and attention to details, shapes, colours, composition and textures. My favorite techniques are: pen drawing, pencil and coloured pencils, acrylics, mixed media and collage.I like nature, gardens, books, textures and patterns, coffee, green tea, good music, cats, hamsters and cheesecakes.
